There are only two people, other than HK, who are making clones of it. Zenith and Century Arms. I believe the original patent ran out on it and those guys jumped on the opportunityKinda surprised that H&K didn't have anything to say about that Century Arms.

Some of the best firearms made include polymer. Being all metal doesn’t necessarily mean better. The reduced weight of polymer is really appealing to me as opposed to full metal guns.What’s the view of people here about polymer framed semi auto pistols?

I have a beretta M9A3 that I’ve done some work to (ssshhh … don’t tell anyone… even changing a spring here can get you in the poop with weapons licensing and lose your licence with a huge fine for “illegally altering a firearm”. No joke!)
and I’ve been bagged because I got “a piece of $&!; Beretta” because apparently they don’t shoot straight.

The only thing I say with the big calibre revolvers is to ensure that you hit what you’re aiming at as your hand might not be willing to cooperate for a second shot
