Picked up a couple of brothers this week. Two Walther P38's. A real nice AC41 (1941) with matching original issue holster and a AC44 (1944) in rougher shape. The AC was the code letters for made by Walther. The AC 41 has a high gloss black finish. This was discontinued after 1941 as costly and time consuming. It also has a serial number on the magazine. That process was also discontinued in 1942. Both have the military proof marks and eagles

Size matters, just to show you the difference in some of the Colts I own. Bottom to top, Colt Mustang .380, Colt 1908 Hammerless .380, Colt Talo Night defender .45 acp, Colt Series 70 1911 with factory ivory grips. (the 1908 bluing is fine just a weird picture angle)

We've been watching the old Hawaii 50 shows and laughing as McGarrett & crew make impossibly long shots with their snub-nose Colt 36s.

And empty cylinders from the look of it. Quite common. Baldwin should have used that technique.

My name for them is "get off me guns". The bad guy has to be on top of you. Same thing.

Deleted the whole line of posts about the accident on a set with Baldwin not because I disagree - I agree with everything you guys wrote. Did it because the posts went astray from the title and first post. Sorry but it is a fast and slippery slope that was already going into the world of right, wrong, training, regulations, and 2A issues.

1918 Colt 1911 "Black Army" .45. Correct matching parts including original barrel and grips. The black army refers to the late war rough finish, nothing nefarious. A wonderful shooter that is one of my favorites. To find one of these unmolested is very difficult. They sold for surplus after the war for $6.99. Many were refurbished and saw service in the second World War as arsenal rebuilds.

And I know, from personal experience, that pistol is going to rattle . . . . a lot. But, it's always going to work.
