I have heard good things about it but never tried it myself.

My hesitation with this product is if you are out on a ride and had to do some sort of an emergency repair to the coolant system you can't just top off with any regular coolant.

Say you find yourself with a cut radiator hose far from home, chances are you will not be able to find this coolant at just any store to top off and ride home. However, If you use a universal water mixture coolant, you can top off your coolant with just about any basic coolant and at least be able to get home.

My concern is that they are very emphatic not to mix it with water. But I don't know why. So, taskmaster is correct about his concern. But, I've been told that a big problem is making the switch; getting every last drop of water out of the system. They say generally the best time to start using Evans is when you have the motor disassembled, or rebuilt, and everything is dry. I got the impression it was primarily used in race applications; high heat for long duration.

It's actually not that hard to swap. Just drain and leave the cap off overnight. Your system has to be 97% water free. Best bet is to use the prep fluid before filling. If you really want to get crazy you can always test the Evans prep fluid with a Brix Refractometer to measure water content:

Also it is perfectly fine to add water in an emergency. It mixes well with the Evans. It's 66%-70% Ethylene Glycol anyway.

Most tracks I've been to don't allow any coolant and make you run just water. A small amount of Red Line Water Wetter is allowed but no coolant of any kind. Both conventional ethylene glycol and the Evans propylene glycol are slippery.
