At this moment your good and OK.........

Think about the water pump shaft having two seals on either side and a drain in the middle. If you see oil, its the motor side "seal", if you see antifreeze its the radiator side. Ive seen both many times. The first one I messed with I ordered the re build kit... This is a total PITB. Yamaha must have special tools to install the seals the correct way, otherwise its virtually impossible... (or so I think). After this Ive just brought the whole new water pump and you bolt it on. The rebuild kit take 1-2-3-4 hours...... the new water pump takes about 5-10 minutes to install.

So if anyone ever finds that its turning into a real leak from either side just buy the whole pump and be done with that. WORTH IT

Thanks for the headsup, I'd of definitely been the guy taking the 5 hr wrench detour to eventually huck the pump down the street and haul butt down to Yamaha for a new pump.
