S I am looking at warm weather pants and had narrowed it down to the Rev'it Tornado 2; these get good reviews. As I looked at the higher end products in the Rev'it line, I started to see a number of reviews with failed seams and other quality issues. Anyone have an opinion on their gear for product delivered over the last year and a half or so? I was looking to spend less but these seem to offer the best protection in a mesh pant $350 and under; I liked the Olympia Airglide 4 but when I get them hemmed to a 31-32" inseam there won't be much Velcro left.

I just checked my Rev'it suit and it was made in Indonesia. Mine is five years old and it is excellent. You mentioned wanting comments regarding product delivered over the last year and a half or so? Do you think they changed manufacturers?

I’m not sure, I just figured if they did it could change the quality. The Tornado 2 reviews on Revzilla are good, it was a few other pants where seam splits, belt clips breaking etc showed up.

What's your waist size? I have a pair of Olympia MotoX pants that have been awesome in warm weather and year round riding, but I got smaller and they don't fit any more. Hemmed and professionally modified so the knee armor is in the correct locations for the shorter inseam, (still adjustable in the standard pockets). Hemmed for a 31 inseam, but always seemed a touch long to me. I have the rain liner too, but that was not hemmed. $100 if you're interested.

As a more direct response to your post. Not happy with the older Revit quality, but no recent experience. I have been very happy with Fieldsheer recently. Surprisingly good quality for budget price. That said from a guy that wears Klim and Aerostich and has for the last 200k plus of riding.

What is the waist size? (I wear 36" x 32" jeans) I might be interested...
Is can the inseam be tailored longer at this point?

I just got home from a few days off riding. I pulled the pants out of the box I had them packed up in and they are a 44" waist and measure a 30" inseam. I had to buy these big enough to fit my waist size at the time, which ended up with very long legs. I've been very pleased with the pants after having them professionally shortened, with the knee armor moved to the correct location. The seamstress was a specialty person doing moto and leather work and knew her stuff. She wasn't happy w/o moving the entire adjustable armor pocket up, rather than just sewing a pocket that was in the right location for me. This means there is still adjustability as the oem intended for the knee armor.

Likely too big for you, but if anyone else reads this, feel free to PM me. I have suspenders on them with logger buttons, (go with the pants), and they are great pants that protect the rider, but also give awesome air flow with the large leg panels that unzip and tuck into the lower legs. These proved to be extremely water resistant and even more so if I sprayed them once a year with scotch guard. They come with the rain liners, which I never had shortened, but are still wearable with the pants this way. I did many times. Pants are faded, but never crashed in and have no holes, rips or other damage.

Yup, a little too big for me, thanks for checking. It looks like I am going to go with the Aerostich AD1 light for the warmer months.
