Just ordered a set of barkbusters with storm guards. Been alot of rains and low 30s into work here. The stockers suck for coverage!

Those are definitely the hot ticket!

I have Oxford heated grips, and the stock Gen 1 hand guards. Rode today in 40-45 deg. temps and thumbs/ index fingers would need a warm up every 60 miles or so. Rest of the hands are relatively comfy. I wouldn't dare ride with thicker gloves that could loose the "feel" though. I'd be interested to know if the Barkbusters Storm do a better job at blocking the wind on the digits that are getting cold as I'm certain that's the culprit.

Definitely! The stockers suck at coverage. The biggest advantage to the BB for me is theyre separate from the lever perches. I like to rotate my levers down on all my bikes. I dont like them parallel forcing my hands up and elbows down. Especially standing (only way I ride offroad). So with the stockers when you rotate the levers down, the handguards rotate down also and effectively take the guard coverage from the hands. The BB are separate so you can run levers in any position and can position the BBs so they still provide coverage for the hands.

Also the Storm guards themselves have alot more surface area compared to the stockers.

You can see in this frontal pic what I mean.

My hands are trashed from too many miles in the cold. Things in front help, heated grips help, but heated gloves are the only real remedy for me. I mostly just ride in warm weather anymore. If I do ride in cold, the heated grips don't do the job.

Know the feeling. Was basically born on a bike and between being a wrench, riding dirt and street, and mountain bikes hands are a mess too.

I run a minimum of heated gloves below 60. Below 50, take the bikes with heated grips and the heated gloves.

Older I get, the less I can deal with So Cal traffic. I split everything. I also just love being on 2 wheels. Rarely does cold or weather keep me off. Only times are if Im sick and its crappy weather.

Those do look way better for coverage! Now I wonder how much Revzilla cash I have...
