I am looking for a Touratech pannier rack for a Gen 1 Tenere. I believe they Gen 1 and Gen 2 are the same (?) If you have one you want to sell PM me. Thanks.

How hard are they to get from Touratech?

Probably pretty easy if I was the guy that went to the dealer and paid full price for my tenere. But I am the guy that bought a new 2013 left over Tenere a year and a half ago for $9000 plus tax, rather than the newest model available at full price. Along the way I picked up the panniers for a good price so they are just sitting around till the day I come across a reasonably priced used rack to go along with them. If not, I am sure they will go on some bike someday or I will sell them to someone for what I paid and someone will be a happy.camper, literally

A lot of KLR-ish penney pinching there, but you've got wasted money sitting in those boxes with nothing to mount them to as well. Wouldn't you still be money ahead if you got racks from Touratech?

Don I sent a PM since you wanted to chat about my financial decisions and my being a "penny pincher". It is likely because I am a good old fashion blue collar logging boy and Army veteran that worked his way through Law School that I still do not feel the need to play the role of the big shot and just roll on in to the dealer and plop down my hard earned money. It is just who I am. Proud to be an American. I feel no need to play the role of the big shot, there are plenty of posers already doing that.

Took 6 months to get mine. Deer hit destroyed everything but the top case rack. ordered them right away and was warned it could be a long time and it was. Luckily ran around with the top box that whole time supplemented with a rear seat and tank bag.
