They're weight specific. If anybody should decide to sell their beloved seat, it will have been built with their weight figured in.

"You know that" but I bet you don't know that you posted in the wrong place.
There's a "Wanted" section on the Forum where people look for things rather than sell things.
Give it a try.

Not to discourage you, but I had a RDL on my CBR and I absolutely LOVED it. I traded bikes (same model) with a buddy and he absolutely HATED it. We then swapped seats, he still hated it, we swapped back after 20 miles of riding.
Our body types and weights were similar, but the way we sat and the 15lb difference in our weights/ body type made a world of difference.
I’d buy a used Corbin or other "one size fits all" before buying a used RDL, they’re great seats, but as mentioned above they’re very personalized. It’s almost like walking in someone else’s shoes, they may fit, but it won’t be comfortable.
That being said I do plan on having a RDL made for my s10.

Good luck finding a RDL.

I found a used one and it works great. I think these guys worrying about the weight are overthinking it. The shape of the seat is the critical part along with fairly firm foam and you are all set. It is not like you have to have the seat redone if your weight changes a bit.

I agree with BMAC. I lucked out. The person selling the RDL was just about the same size weight etc. Just be patient, they pop up from time to time.

Not sure about the unnecessary wanted/for sale comment, by whatevea.

Good luck!!

I have a RDL that although I love it I'm not convinced it's the perfect seat for me. I made a deal with a member who wanted a RDL and had a Sargeant. He sent me his seat, I tested it out and if I preferred it over my Russell he'd send me a little cash and I'd send him my Russell. Well, I didn't like his seat and I mailed it back to him at my expense.

I'd be willing to try that again with other seats if anyone's interested. No Seat Concepts or Sargents, been there.

Mine was built specifically to handle my 300# phat ass, internal suspension, really, suspension, different density foams, even a relocated heating pad for my tail bone ache therapy for the over 300 mile days. Fantastic seat. My seat won't work for a 175 pounder, and their seat would not work for me. A couple pounds? Not an issue, 50+, an issue.

In regards to weight on RDL seats, Russell Cycle Products puts the cut off at 230 lbs. Over that, you should be getting the Heavy-Duty Suspension, a $45 add. So, as Don suggested, if the seat is made for a heavy rider and you're not over 230 lbs, you may not like it as much as one made for a sub 230# rider.
