In a few weeks I'm thinking about a ride via 15 North to (Start off road) Hodge Road, head East to Stoddard Valley Road and then hit up the 247 South (End off road) to the 18 and up into Big Bear. If not HWY 18 then I may take the 247 all the way to HWY 62 in Yucca Valley. Some slab, but a bunch of graded off road trails, too. I may even explore certain areas/side trails that look interesting. Any takers?

I along with Havoc would probably be game. Just depends on when it is. I have a business trip for most of March but before or after.

Navynuke, that looks like a great route! Unfortunately, I can't do anything during the week these days with my workload being so heavy. Hard to get a day off. Weekends are open, however.

Solarinsocal, I am thinking end of this month, but I just had this coming weekend open up for me so I might try to jam something in.

Keep me posted, I have every other weekend off normally, next week I get off after 6.5 weeks in Abu Dhabi for work. Otherwise I work all week too.

I know, I know....crap, sorry about that. I had some things to take care of and didn't get back to post until pretty late. Ah...life.

Well, I went anyhow...you were there in spirit. (I realize saying things like that can get my a** kicked!) :)

I went for a ride up the 2 to the 138, then up the back side of cleghorn to the 15 at about 2pm. I saw this post once I got back, how funny would it have been to run into another tenere on the trail!

Next time you're in the mood for a ride, hit me up! I'm local, just 20 minutes north of Anaheim.

Wife and I went for a nice almost 400 mile ride today. She's super happy and not really sore after all day on the bike.

Over Ortega, through Temecula and up to Palomar Mtn. Then down Palomar into Borrego Springs for lunch. Through Julian into Oceanside for ice cream by the ocean and back home to Brea.

looking forward to getting out riding some more.

Sounds like a long but great day of riding. Palomar to Borrego is a nonstop great stretch on good roads. Congested at times, but always fun and scenic.

I'm a former navynuke. Did six years in the early 80s, the last couple on a nuke submarine out of San Diego. Got stationed here in 1985 and never left. Are you on shore duty or assigned to a vessel?

I got out in 2005, but I did about 7 years, mostly on the Enterprise out of Norfolk. I work in the oil fields around LA now installing and troubleshooting submersible pumps.
