I saw this in a dealers in Spain. Thought it looked really good, with good spec and good on paper performance. Still not sure I’d be brave enough to own it as an only bike though.

Awful quiet about the V85TT? You still liking it Checkswrecks?
Still do even though still want to check out the Stelvio, and life has been very busy. At the point of turning away business which is a good problem...

rode a V 85 last week. Except for the seat,I REALLY liked it. My major concern is lack of dealer support/options in the areas I live and ride. Do I dare? Some of those rural back roads are a long way from anywhere

Finally got to ride the V85tt Travel Edition. It was comfortable, handled well, had more wind buffeting than the 890, but was pretty ok. No match for the 890 in handling and performance, no match for the S10 in comfort, it does win on looks.

Trying to figure out where to put this post as it is about a V85, a GolgWing, and a Stelvio. I was talking to a gentleman that owns a '21 V85, a '22 GolWing, and a '24 Stelvio. Oddly enough of the 3 the GoldWing was for sale. While my original inquiry was about the Wing the conversation quickly got around to why he was keeping the other 2. He said the V85 was the best all around bike for the riding he did. Also said it was most comfortable. While it lacked the power of the Stelvio it was cooler on hot summer days than the Stelvio and less top heavy. I'll leave it to Checkswrecks to confirm that? Said the Wing was great for traveling but big for everyday riding and on smaller roads. Of the 3 he liked the V85 best. Also said all 3 bikes were trouble free. I have no dog in this fight other than liking all 3 of the bikes and found his opinion interesting.

I'd agree with the guy and it's why if the Stelvio does break I'll be getting a 2024+ V85TT.
I really do like the Stelvio and have no plans to move on but the V85 has a bit more character while the Stelvio is a bit more Japanese in feel. Till 2024 the V85s just ran out of oomph at higher speeds, especially 2-up. With the 2024+ V85 they took a nice bike and made it great. The other thing about the V85 is that being based on the old well-proven small block an owner can easily do most maintenance and repairs on his/her own.

It is interesting to hear that about the Stelvio. I loved the V100 motor in the Mandello and other than the shifting issue I really liked the bike. I thought that the Stelvio with a bigger fuel tank and 50% wider seat would be the way to go for long rides. Sounds like the V85 may be the better choice? I always ride solo and tend to pack light so that's a plus.

At the risk of cursing you I doubt the Stelvio will break.

As far as the GW on smaller roads, I do and don't agree.

Coming home tonight on a "smaller" road with an uphill 80 degree, blind bend, I found a tractor trailer coming at me using about 80% of the road. I had no issue at all zipping past him on the the Wing.

Where I find the Wing lacking is when that smaller road has rough spots, patches, and seams. Not as enjoyable there.

Don't get me wrong in that I REALLY am enjoying the Stelvio and it's encouraging how there are people now putting on big miles. It was a reason I didn't buy one of the first Mandellos.
Ride a Stelvio and a new V85 back to back to see the character difference. If possible, ride an older V85 then a newer one to appreciate the improvements.

There is a '21 Centenario with super low miles I have my eye on. Not sure I'm ready for another V100 just yet and the '21 fits the current program and budget better than a new bike. Plus I always loved the Centenario color scheme.

What are the big miles numbers you are seeing for the Stelvio? I read 1 guy has over 50k on his Mandello without issue.

My V85TT was a Centenario.
Nothing like we think of in Super Tenere terms, but for only being available for a couple years I'm seeing some Stelvios in the high 20s with a couple in the low 30s.
Combo of GuzziTech, Wildgoose, and the 2 British forums.
