Hi guys. I am from the town named Worcester in South Africa and we have many dirt roads to explore.

My S10 is a month and a half old and has 3500 km on the clock. If I am allowed to take up the site's bandwith I shall post some scenery pics.

Here is one of the Karoo pics ;)

Uncle,

Welcome to the list. The photos and owner evaluations are keeping us Yanks somewhat sane while we wait for May 2011! Thanks for sharing.

Hey Uncle,

Great shot!

Is it dry in S.A at the moment or is the country always like that?

Over here in Oz at the moment our deserts are turning into rain forests!!

Cheers
Graham

Thanx everybody for the welcome ;)

@GrahamD ........................ It's now summer in S.A. and only the northen and eastern parts of the country are getting some rain. This photo was taken in the Karoo where the rainfall is very low.

@HoedSTer ................... Maybe I am your lost uncle :D ................ You are welcome to pay us a visit here in S.A. and we have lots of S10's available to buy ............... :D

Welcome to the forum Uncle!

I'm looking forward to seeing your ride reports and pictures - I've been hoping to get a chance to go to SA for a riding vacation for several years now.

Just out of curiosity - were your crashbars custom made? How much panel cutting is needed for fitment? Have you "tested" them yet? Sorry for all the questions - those are the most protective looking set of bars I've seen yet.

The crashbars is original Yamaha crashbars except the top parts that covers the two tops panels. These are custom made by the dealer which I bought the S10 from. No ............... I have not tested them (yet) ;D It looks like if they will do the job, but I am not keen on testing it ................ :D

Wow Uncle, most dealers here heve probably never seen aftermarket bars, let alone be able to make some in the back shop. You must have some skilled men there. Can you send some of them here??

The crash bars have been tested ............... A friend of mine on his S10, with the same crashbars as mine, was taken out by a car in a traffic circle this morning. He escaped (luckily) with just a few bruises and the S10 just needed a new set of mirrors. The crashbars save the S10 from any damage to the bodywork and the extra piece that covers the radiator took a severe knock but it stood the test. He said the BMW car's owner has much more expensive damages ......................
