UK Super Tenere RECALL

Have been having an intermittent headlamp problem for a little while now. Took to Yam dealer Friday to try and get it fixed under warranty only to be told that they have had a recall notice in the last few days to fit the new improved harness to all super Tens and R1.

Brilliant. Mine went 2 weeks ago on the final day of a trip to the Americas whist driving into Buenos Aires after a 40k mile trip. Wohoo

Letter from yamaha uk arrived today .Just need to book it in with the dealer now.

So...it finally happened. I just got my letter to announce the recall for the headlight harness in UK. My advice to you all would be book the job in soon because they are recalling R1's as well which might keep them busy!!

GOOD ON YA YAMAHA ...there not afraid to call a recall to get things sorted out .....unlike them PRATS at BMW who are that frightened to hear that word RECALL that they call them TECHNICAL CAMPAIGNS...... ::015::

I got the letter today too. So also a recall in Holland. As I understood from the Dutch forum it's the same for Belgium and Germany.
My dealer is expecting the harness tomorrow. I removed the headlight unit today and will bring it to the dealer tomorrow. Before the weekend everything should be fixed and ready to go. ::018::

My recall letter arrived today,yamaha certainly don't mess around,luckily bike is due its first annual service soon so will be contacting Damerells to kill two birds with one stone.

Hello, i bought 2 months ago my tenere from Uk used from a bike store, is model 2012. My headlights illuminates up and i believe maybe my bike have this problem of recall too. How can i replace it and fix it, i import the bike to Greece and use it in my country..anyone can help?

My dealer didnt know how long the job will take coz they havent done one yet.

Yamaha allots the dealer 0.6 hours labor (sorry, labour) for the warranty work. That means it would take me 1.2 hours...
