I'm new to the Tenere (and forum) but I said toa friend just the other day that the front end (straight on) is missing something.
I don't think it's missing a beak, though. I think extra lights fills the void properly.....

Now, on to look for lights!

Can't say I am with TheHelios entirely on this one, by I think, styling wise, there is a bit of unfinished business around the front end of the S10. The baby Ten has a similar issue, although there is room for a tow shackle.

The Powerbronze beak looks what it is, but others manuafacturers have made a better fist of things. So maybe some form of bar extending forwards, that could shield aux. lights from damage & provide a sturdy hand hold to pull the bike out of the mire - my old KTM 990 was odd too, but had the excuse of saddle tanks & a battery in the under-ride protection. I'm sure Yamaha will get it together with a restyle, if we all live long enough!

Ride safe .............. KEN ::022::

When I was lookin for a new ride a few years back and leaning toward the adv style bike I thought the S10 was fugly. Only until after finally trying one did I "get it" It's function over form. I think after adding some farkles it looks kinda "gnarly" in a good way. Seems to draw a lot of attention (even if they can't figure out what it is). Never did understand the function of 2 fenders or the beak look.

I must be one of the few. I rather like the look of the Tenere's front end stock. It doesn't look like a bloated dirt bike. It just looks muscle-y and stout. I tend to be utilitarian about things though, so your outlook and mileage may vary. :D

Ignore the paint, but what is missing?

Sure, it begs for some lights to be mounted in the void. And that is a perfect solution. I like that Yamaha created that spot and left it to us to choose what lights.
I'm one that feels the Tenere has a gorgeous front. And the new Honda, in my opinion, comes dangerously close to flatteringly agreeing.

it's all wrong, ALL WRONG and not only the look of the beak, it was Suzuki that did it first with the DR PD and then DR roadbikes back in the eighties.

BMW seem to be very good at copying other peoples ideas; flat twin, Douglas. Tele-lever, Radd Mc2. Paralever, MV Augusta.

Either way they're pants and if you want to make your Tentoothree look like one, good luck to you.....

You have character disorder!

Yes, sadly it is a UK thing. One of the many unfortunate things this country has inflicted upon the world. We're also sorry for Marmite and Bovril, greeting people with a cheery "all right?" instead of hello, saying aluminium instead of aluminum and for letting Ricky Gervais and Benedict Cumberbatch out of the country, without asking everyone else's permission. O:)

Don't need to apologize to this yank.
I've always made sense of the English by simply regarding them as my elders.

In that light, it isn't surprising that we are considered the brats, and they can be a bit stuffy.
But no matter what, we IS family. :)

:D I like Marmite but I don't like Ricky Gervais, unless he's 'Derek' ::008::

I've enjoyed everything I've seen Benedict do so far, does an awesome Holmes, wasn't sure about his Khan, but he was fantastic. Granted, I prolly haven't seen everything...

I never really got Ricky Gervais' sense of humour and personally found it all a bit nasty minded. Benedict was superb in Sherlock but as soon as we let him out of the UK, he and Hollywood produced an very unconvincing Khan. I will admit that I used to have a major teenage crush on his mum (Wanda Ventham) and i'm more than a little bitter that she didn't marry me. ::)
