Day-9
366 Miles to Home!
I woke up to another gorgeous day!
I sat and enjoyed coffee and breakfast, and then packed up Camp for the last time.
I said farewell to my neighbor, and wished him good riding................
(I was totally envious of his setup, but man that's a lot of rig!)
I fueled up the Bike at the Chevron just down the street, and headed on down the road.
I followed Hwy-128 along the Colorado River....................I love riding this stretch of road through the Canyon.
I made my way through the ghost-town of Cisco, and then hopped on Interstate-70.
I would have liked to spend a couple more days getting home via the back-roads and dirt-passes, but I had to be at work the following day so Interstate it is.............
A short way down the Highway I reached the Colorado border.
I kept-on truckin, making the miles back to Home.
I stopped at Glenwood Springs for Fuel and a convenience-store lunch at a nearby picnic table.
I took a couple final pictures of some Fall-colors..........................I was glad to see the leaves were still hangin-around.
The rest of the ride was just an easy cruise through the Mountains of Colorado, over Vail-Pass and Loveland-Pass and back down into the Denver metro area.
It really was great to be safely back Home............... 2,500-Smiles later.
I am not sure how we did it, but Cap'n Ron and I had absolutely Perfect weather the whole trip!
Mother-Nature was sure smiling on us this time, and the Fork-seals and front-wheel held for the remainder of the trip.
Here's the basic Map of my final day.
And here is the 3D video of my final Ride-Route.
Thanks everyone for sticking around till the end!
I can't wait to see what this year's riding season brings.
