Hasn't anyone shortened the throttle tube to better match other grips? I switched out my stock grips early on, and the replacements are much shorter. On the left side, I simply relocated the switch cluster further out to close the gap, but on the throttle side, I left the gap on the inboard side (I tend to ride with my hands on the outside edge of the grips). I have a Vista Cruise there, which doesn't begin to fill the area. I am thinking about trimming the tube itself to make it the same length as the grips. I am planning on changing over to the Excel Throttle Control before the big trip to Ouray this summer...any advice?
