If you hop over to the Adventure Rider Forum/Ride Reports/ The making of a Cross Canada Route. There are a group of Canadian Riders plotting a Cross Canada Route called Trans Canada Adventure Trail or TCAT for short. There are 162 pages of info started in 2010 from Ontario by Deadly 99. I haven't read it all but it sounds very interesting. Talked to Manxman(BCBTR fame) in BC and he has finished laying out the BC section which looks awesome. Sounds like they are pretty well finished the whole route through NFLD,Quebec, Ont, Manitoba, Sask, Alberta and BC.
The plan was to lay out a dirt/gravel route across the country with as little blacktop as possible for Dualsport Riders. Looking at the photos, the eastern part looks more suited to 650 single type bikes but Manxman assures me the BC section is Big Duallie friendly. There are a bunch of fellows working on it and GPS files and GPX tracking free downloads will be available soon. For more accurate info read the Thread on Adventure Rider. These guys deserve credit for putting in the time and effort to build this Trail. ::014::

I've been following the TCAT project for a couple years now - totally agree - these guys deserve a TON of credit for their efforts and dedication. ::012::

Another good website for TCAT and other Canadian dual sport/adv routes is: http://graveltravel.ca/
