Anyone have their Dunlop's crack around the tread? Tire started showing cracking about 4300 miles into my trip to Alaska. 1423 is the date code. Tire pressure was 33psi and checked twice a day (for once I actually didn't neglect them). I put another 600 miles on them today and there doesn't seem to be any change. Wondering if I can get them the 3700 miles home or just suck it up and get a new tire.

is that a front or rear ? if rear you are under inflated . should be 38 to 42 depending on load . as for the cracks I can barely see them , you are probably going to do just fine . slow down and or be easier on the throttle won't hurt either .

It's the front. Never had a tire crack all the way around like this. Just a long way back

These have 8 days on them. First set of tires I've been on top of checking on a trip. Normally I just send it. Probably should've just sent it.

Am I the only one that thinks the Tires pictured look normal?
I've ran lots of different tires on bikes over the years, and I've seen a lot of them develop tiny hairline cracks where the tread-blocks move around. This to me is normal.
If these were my tires, I would run them until they were worn out and not think twice about it.

I do think 33psi is too low though, especially if you are fully loaded.
I run 38-front, 40-rear for normal riding unless I am fully loaded for a trip, then it's 40-front 42-rear............but that's just me. YMMV

Stopped to get a tire and the guy was like "looks normal" and told me to run it. I'm running 33 front 40 rear. My pilot roads would get 13-15k out of a front.

Yeah, there is nothing wrong with those tires.

I had bigger rips on other tires previously which were fine and went the distance.

But I'll go down tomorrow and have another look at my trailmax front, which went across Canada and back and just did a hard week of twisties riding and see what they look like very up close.
