Welcome Bruised, from Tennessee! You picked a great bike that should give many miles of enjoyment. I too traded a full on tour dresser for my Tenere and have no regrets. Of course mine is the Faster Black one but the Blue will do in a pinch ;) Hope you enjoy the bike and the Forum.

Welcome on, bruised. I hope that name is the ghost of Yamaha future and not of Yamaha past ... well, actually I don't hope either one. Never mind. ::004:: to the Forum. R ::022::

Welcome. I to came over from a dresser 2010 Goldwing and have no regrets either wish the S10 had electronic cruise but other than that it's all good. I am going to add the Sargent seat to my S10 have had Sargent on several bikes fits great and it is wide like the ultra or wing seat.

And don't listen to those Blue bashers that ride those black bikes they have there head in the dark :) where as the blue is like a blue blazing streak of lighting :)

Welcome to the club. I also traded my Harley for a 2012 S10. Best thing I ever did! I was bored of riding just pavement.

Didn't trade my 2008 Ultra Classic, still us it for riding with my wife, but the Tenere is really fun when riding alone. Welcome and enjoy your new ride.

Bruised, Welcome to the dirt-ier side of riding!!! I forgot to read in the manual about cleaning this bike. I thought we were just supposed to change oil and tires. Uh oh, better go ride again. Yeah, just think of the time you will have riding instead of cleaning the chrome bits? These things look better with a mask of dirt on them. Enjoy the new adventure of riding.

Welcome and congrats on the Super Tenere purchase. I too came from a Road King. While the HD is a nice cruiser, it cannot handle very well other roads I love riding in like twisties and off road. My riding buddies are good friends and we really dont care what we ride as long as we ride. You will love this bike and will get bored if you are looking to fix or clean/polish it as it does not need it! Just ride and enjoy.

Cool bruised! I did the same thing....last bike was a 2006 HD Road King. Tenere's nearly 200 pounds lighter and has half again as much horsepower! Have had the Yamaha less than a year and close to 12000 miles on it...I like!!!
