Has anyone used the Touratech screen adjuster to mount a Garmin Zumo ?

If so have there been any problems with vibrations affecting the Zumo ?

OIt would be helpful to know before committing to buy.

Thanks.

1300 mile with that exact setup for my zumo 665. awesome piece of engineering - if you're worried about bolts vibrating loose, use some blue loctite on them (dont use it on the bolts that go directly into your windshield or else good luck getting them out)

use a pliers to lightly twist the turn knobs for the height and angle adjustment and it won't move a millimeter.

I have this setup using the Touratech Zumo 665 mount as well. No problems with the GPS, however I ended up having to replace the adjusting knobs with nuts as they always shook loose and allowed the windscreen to move. Loctite and pliers were no help.

I'm running it and live it! I have a Garmin 665 mounted to it and have had zero problems.

Blue loctite and plier turn on the knobs and it hasn't budged in over 8000 miles.

If I had to do it over again I'd go with a different mount. One of the ones with only one tilt slot and levers for tightening. A whole lot more torque than with knobs. The mounts still use the factory rubber well nuts, so vibration transmission is at a minimum.

I have one fitted. I also use the Touratech GPS mount. Ive had no vibration trouble with the Zumo. The Adjustable mount seems well made, but the adjustment knobs come lose on rough tracks. I had to hold the handle bar with one hand while tightening the adjustment knobs with the other on a rough track. I even stopped and tightened them as hard as I could with a gloved hand, but very quickly after moving off again they came lose. I even lost one, thats how quick they can rattle lose. I would, and I did swap the adjustment knobs for nylon lock nuts and spring washers. Ive had no problems since with them coming loose, and have been on some worse and nasty tracks that vibrated the bike heaps. I never tried the pliers idea, but Iam a lot more confident with the Lock nuts. I set the screen to where I wanted it an have no reason to move it, but it is easily moved with a spanner (no different I suppose than getting some pliers for it) I would buy one again, and just with the small mod IE: Lock nuts, and not use their plastic adjuster knobs. All that said though I haven't had any experience with other products on the market, so cant say if its better or not, but I do like it. And with the Touratech GPS lockable mount its tidy and the GPS seems fine.

::026:: with all the above. I have lost one previously within first frw hours. May not have tightened properly. Carry spares now. Have had 5000 trouble free miles other than that. I have read somewhere that Madstrad do a similar item.
