in my opinion you can get more light for less money then that and only at 13w, there are plenty of options available, but hey if you like them, get them, they look nice. mounting brackets alone on these probably make up most of the price.

I see a couple problems with the Touratech lights. First, there is a good chance they will make the turn signals difficult to see due to their proximity. Second, they are REALLY expensive. You are talking Baja Squadron money, which would blow these away in terms of brightness.

I really like the Piaa LP530 leds (see my avatar), which Yamaha sells as an OEM accessory. They mount very neatly below the headlight using Yamaha brackets and because the leds face rearward into a reflector they throw off a very focused beam that will not blind oncoming traffic if you want to operate them with your low beams.

$191 on Amazon, buy the brackets from your dealer.

The PIAA LED light kit for the Tenere is awesome. They are priced a little high at $349 but the kit is worth it. They were very easy to install it only took me probably 45 minutes to get them completely installed. The on/off switch has a very positive on/off selection with a small light that turns from red to green when turned on. The only trouble I had was finding the ignition wire for the relay that way the lights would shut off when I turned the key off. They are very bright and would recommend them.

If you ever need to replace the lights, they are $191 on Amazon. Link in my post above.

Welcome, that link that twinrider posted has the mounting brackets also listed for sale if you look on the page it brings up.

Anyone got a pic or two of the PIAA mounted on the engine guard and not under the headlight? I already got a light bar under there so no room for anything else. Thanks!

I want to do the advmonster lights. It sure is tempting to have the whole wiring kit already assembled in the PIAA kit, though.

I ended up going with the PIAA kit and brackets, I'm all about plug and play with the electrical stuff.....I know enough to get myself into expensive trouble.

I've owned advmonster lights and there is no comparison with Piaa's quality.

Another advantage of the LP530s is that the leds face rearward toward a multi-reflector lens, which results in a beam that can be accurately aimed so you can have them on full power with your low beams and not blind oncoming traffic. That is why Yamaha markets them as an OEM accessory.

Two versions are available, fog and driving. I'm using the driving and am pleased with the spread and distance.

Is your avatar the only place to install them?

I want to do a high fender and that would rule out putting them there. I have the Yamaha crash bars and would prefer to mount them a little more on the outside.

EDIT - nevermind. I just saw that you can't use their kit if you have the yamaha bars.

They will also mount to your Yamaha crash bars.
