Touratech Hand Guard Extensions??

I thought for sure I saw some Super Tenere handguard extensions from Touratech or some other company. That is, you used the stock Yamaha handguards and these were correctly molded to fit the Yamaha parts but would raise their height a couple of inches.

Am I mis-remembering? The only thing I've found is Touratech guards that replace the stock pieces completely.

What I miss that I had on my Strom were extensions that went under the guard, flat back under the grip, it stopped the wind and rain whipping up under the guard. I'd be interested in extending the top of them too if they are out there.

I think you are mis-reading. The Touratech extensions are for the Touratech guards. A money thing (who would have thunk..). The Touratech guards do okay, but not much more than the Yamaha ones. But are slightly better in protecting your hands from the wind with the extensions.

Make your own extensions, that's what I did, top and bottom, molded with a heat gun then 3M H/D Velcro into place, in summer, just pop them out.

I did the same on my Buell and they turned out well. Suppose I'll make similar parts for the ST.
