Looking to ride Colorado this year. I did the TLH last year and this seems like another big one. Lots of slab to get there.....3000kms then 5 days riding or so there. Other option which I have put my name down for is to join the Western group ride with the group for several days with a heard of up to 50 s10's.

Looking to see if anyone else from the area is going to that event and or interested in riding to Colorado.

Timing for the s10 Rally is July 26th. Apparently you don't want to go earlier given the excessive snow causing significant run off.

Thanks to advise if you interested.

Cheers.

I've done the Colorado trip twice. First time was via I90, second time was I80/I70. I90 lands you in South Dakota which has some cool things to see (Badlands, Mt Rushmore). I80 or I70 gives you a straight shot into Colorado and is a bit quicker.

Perhaps my favourite unexpected thing in Colorado was US160. It's a straight road through south eastern Colorado. It's almost completely empty of civilization outside of some signs for ranches way off the main road.

Northern New Mexico was great and worth a visit. Route 66 is definitely not worth the time though.

Here's my first route: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1lXy2vmXX7MacwxQv-mB-N-0dD7Q&usp=sharing

thanks for sharing. Will review your route.

Pretty much going to plot a speed course for the mountains in Colorado. Just don't have enough time to do as much as I would like. 3 days out and 3 days back leaves me 4 days or so to do the passes.

Long days in the saddle to get there :)
