Top case mount

Sorry if this has been addressed- I searched, really I did. Bought a solobox top case from Eric, nicely made, it will fit a XXL helmet. But now I have to mount it to the bike. Looks like I could use the three factory screws, would not be all that hard to put on and take off. But it might be nice to just have a lever I could pull to release it.

I've seen a topcase mount that gives a few inches of storage under the case. Do I need to use that to miss my Bumot panniers? Otherwise, what might y'all suggest for a suitable mount.

BTW- the top case was very well made, the lock looks a little clunky, but it should be secure. Jury is still out on the bungee.

Bump/. I have some time on my hands (who doesn't?). Time to mount that top case. Any ideas at all? Thinking I could buy a mount, https://cariboucases.com/What-Fits-My-Bike/Yamaha-Super-Tenere-XT1200Z/Yamaha-Super-Tenere-XT1200Z-Rear-Cargo-Plate.html looks simple, hell, I can make that, I have some Al in the shop. Can not understand if the case needs to be mounted up above the rear fender a few inches- to miss the Bumot panniers. Sitting at the computer, I can get a vision of what I need. Any ideas? Can someone shoot me a pict of a top case mount? I have a Yammie top case, it is too small for my helmet, and I am sick of arguing with it anyway. That mount has bumps and divoets, won't work with a flat bottom top case.

I designed the quick release system to work with my homemade top case luggage rack, but I imagine it could be adapted to work with other racks.

Thank you sir- I owe you a cold one! Just the idea I was looking for. I am usually pretty creative, but this one had stumped. Tomorrow- out to the shop!

Just walked out to the shed, in the rain, with a flashlight. Yes, I have a good direction to go now. Only change, I may use a locking quick release. thanks again.

Mine locks the case to the rack; that's what those two holes are on either side of the quick release lever. You can either use a padlock in one of the holes or, as I do, run a cable lock through the holes.
