I finally pick up my S10 tomorrow from Yamaha Sportscenter in Longview, TX (thanks, Tony)!

I was on a two week vacation when I got the call that my S10 was in. I told Tony to put the prep of mine (or his) at the back of the line. I say "or his" because he was actually nice enough to let me have his PDP since he knew I really wanted a blue one. I had inherited a Raven from someone that backed out.

Anyway, I have a two hour drive to pick up the bike. My wife is taking me and a friend. My friend is throwing his VFR in the back of my truck so we can take a nice 240 mile ride back. I'm planning on as many FM (backroads) roads as possible.

Needless to say, I CANNOT WAIT! I will try and take a few pics on the journey home.

Did I mention that I'm excited?

There's that thinly veiled little cry for help again. I think it's time we all pitched in for a paint job for Rod. He's done a lot for us. Let's get this moving. Send me the money, and I'll look after it. R

I know what you would do with the money - use it toward a new paint job for your's. Deep down, you KNOW you really want Blue!!!!

Blue: Pale, without redness or glare, -- said of a flame; hence,
of the color of burning brimstone, betokening the presence
of ghosts or devils; as, the candle burns blue; the air
was blue with oaths.
[1913 Webster]

Black: properly the absence of all colour. In Prov. 7:9 the Hebrew word
means, as in the margin of the Revised Version, "the pupil of
the eye." It is translated "apple" of the eye in Deut. 32:10

Hence, The "apple of one's eye" vs. "ghosts and devils".

I rest my case. R

Pretty strong case!

Congrads Kidder. Put the screen in the lower position and you will have air, put it up top and you will block some air at the expense of noise and turbulence. In this heat I would choose LOW.

33 psi F, 36 psi R. Don't forget to oil the chain! Enjoy.

Nice!

I'm trailering my "Raven" S-Ten because it's SOOOOOO slow that it would take a week or two to get from Texas to Colorado. :)) :))

Well tomorrow is today. I picked up my S10 from Yamaha Sportscenter in Longview, TX. They were a very professional dealer to, er, deal with. I'm happy I purchased from them. I dreaded that it would be raining the entire day because it rained almost the whole way from my house to Longview. It stopped raining a few miles from the shop. After taking care of the $$$ and quick intro, I got on the road at 11:15am.

I took a southwestern route back to the metroplex in order to hopefully miss the rain. Also, the roads are a bit more twisty and the town I live in is in the southern metroplex.

I really enjoyed the 250 mile ride I took today. I really like the grunt down low and can't wait to take the thing above 4k RPM. There's really not much to say other than the bike performed as expected. I look forward to tens of thousands of miles on the blue beastie.

Here's a few pics. They're boring as I have no farkles yet. :D
