so I treated myself and put a deposit on a Blue ST10 this afternoon ;D

Went against my better (financial) judgement but could not help myself. Just got rid of my last car payment so I figured what the heck. Now I need to decide if I should keep the VFR or not. I really liked the ST so the VFR may not get much seat time and it is too nice to be sitting in the garage not getting run - decisions, decisions :'(

Anyway - dealer is still saying late September, but looking at deliveries to date around the US it may get here much sooner :)

 Last I heard they were making a DECISION in September about whether to do another PDP or bring floor stock - so dunno where this dealer is going to get the bike if not one already here? And if already here you should be able to have it VERY soon.

Trevor

PS Happy Birthday!

The dealer had ordered 2 for themselves, 1 in Blue and 1 in Black - I 'convinced' them to let me take the Blue one, the owner is taking the Black one. Not sure how many pre-orders they actually took, so I am not sure where in line I may be when they do show up, either way I can wait semi-patiently until it arrives, more time on the VFR then.

Congrats on your order. It sounds like you will be getting much sooner than September.

I guess you can claim the current record for shortest time between ordering and picking up. ;D

Well, I went to pick up the ST today. Good and Bad for me, logistically had to trade-in my VFR, I will miss it but am (hope to be) as equally happy with the ST10.

Other bad thing, not terribly though. When I put my deposit down a whole 2 days ago the dealer told me they had a Black or Blue available that they had ordered for themselves - I picked Blue. Well turns out they screwed up their order codes and the Bike came in are both Raven Black, no biggie as I like the Black as well - So I now own a Raven ST10 ;D

Good bye to a great bike . . .

Hello to a new one on the floor waiting for me . . .

After a short ride home in my drive . . .

Now I have to figure out how to get my Zumo mounted and see if I can figure out how to fine tune the suspension. I have also already made a list for the Wife & Kids of things to get me for Christmas :p

Happy birthday again. I just got home with mine. I rode down this morning to pick up some parts I had ordered, and when I got there, my Tenere was there! Now it is here at my house! I had a nice mix of venues for the ride home: back roads, curvy mountain roads, slab, small town, and the Tenere handled them all with ease. Not a bad mountain road strafing bike, considering it isn't a sport bike, and it doesn't have sport rubber. I'd say I was able to maintain about 80-85% or more the corner speed I usually do on those roads: very impressive for such a heavy beast. Which it doesn't feel like, either. Very happy I waited.
