Howdy guys ,
In about a month or so I will be installing a set of these tires for my Yamaha Super Tenere ( Heidenau K60 Scout Dual Sport Tires for BMW R1200GS, R1200GSA, & F800GS by Adventure Designs ) . I've heard a lot of great things about them , so I'm going to try them out . We still have a lot of snow and ice around here in Wyoming , so I plan on installing these tires before riding season kicks in. I will let you know how they preform after I get them on and try them out. I also plan on installing an ALT-Rider Skid plate before riding season.
If any of you have tried out these tires , let me know how you like them.

One of the best, if not the best, 50/50 tires out there for big ADV bikes. There's likely a hundered (or more) threads of people confirming this between here and ADVrider. The Mitas' are up and coming, but not fully vetted like the k60's are, IMO.

Sure, a TKC80 or Big Block will be better on 100% off road mayhem, or an Anakee 3 on 100% pavement. So, if you're intending to ride the bike solely for either of those extremes, then perhaps look elsewhere.

If you understand and keep in mind that these give up a little on both ends of the riding spectrum, and ride accordingly where conditions would likely push or exceed the limits of these tires, you'll be all smiles.

The tire Yamaha should mount on them from the factory. Would make a far more accurate representation of the bike on the Showroom floor. :)

JTWY, WIth your question, it appears you haven't scoured our forum yet for your answer. If you are a vendor, should this video go into the Vendor section? It appears like you are selling us on this tire.

I just couldn't resist HoebSTer. He being a dealer of Kenda AND a Tenere off-road junkie. A big fat soft sticky FREE knobby would be like smack to an off-road addict.

Damn the lifespan of it! Just go melt it. :)

k60 good, mitas unobtainable, but better than the k60.
Get the k60, more mitas for me ::015::

What the hell are you talking about ? I don't sell tires , I don't sell motorcycles or motorcycle accessories , and I don't work for anyone who does . I was simply asking the guys if they've used these tires on there YST's , because I plan on trying them on mine . Man , some people ........

Where is a good place to buy the K60s for the Tenere? I'm needing a set pretty soon.

No one in town sells them , so I'm gonna order mine from Revzilla.com because they offer free shipping on all orders over $39.00 . I'm also going to order a Saddle men Adventure Tract Seat and Skid plate at the same time .
