Thanks to everyone for allowing me to participate on this fine forum

My experience with my S10 has been excellent and in my book the bike is outstanding, but it will always be a twin and I really miss 4 cylinder bikes (sorry)~~~ and so I have decided to replace my S10 with a Kawasaki GTR 1400 (Connie) which is a bike that I know suits me as I've owned them before. The seat height of the S10 is proving to be problematic for me as I am suffering a degree of Arthritis in my leg and hip, so climbing on and off a taller bike is difficult and a little painful.

The information and kind help that I have received here is much appreciated.

I have removed and already sold some of the farkles/ accessories that I fitted to my bike but there will be a few more items for sale which I will list on here to see if anyone is interested

Thanks again to all ~~~~~Ride safe~~~~~~enjoy ::008::

Sorry you are leaving us, but ride what ever keeps you on two wheels for as long as possibles ::008::
A side note, have the hips checked out, I had both of mine done exactly one year ago, complete replacement, so much better, should have had them done earlier.
Rubber side down ::001::

Glad to see somebody new may pop onto the forum. (How's that for seeing the bright side?)

In other words, selling the bike doesn't mean that we need to lose you here. If you do go, thanks for everything!

I completely understand your needs due to your condition.
A good highway bike Connie, the State police use them in New Mexico way cool looking in black.
Kawasaki makes bomb proof stuff so you should have it all and little reach over for the legs.
Have a safe trip through life and ride well through it brother.

Good luck with the new bike Tyke. Would the top box in your photo be one of the things you are selling ?
No I'm planning to keep it just in case I need a smaller bike in the future, but no harm in asking :)

I owned a 2008 Connie some years ago and it is a great ride. Only no cruise control and it always wanted me to reach 100 MPH fast when I only needed to do 40 MPH. I also loved the motorized windscreen.

Two up it is great on the interstate but low speed handling two up seems a little top heavy.

Enjoy the connie news groups.

All the best Rog. Keep in touch.

Remember, we intend to hold a UK S10 meet at CMC Clay Cross, provisionally 15 April 2016, all being well. And, of course you are invited, if we can drag you away from God's Own. There is always the Kwak Dealer just down the road from CMC, if needed.

Cheers ................ KEN ::003::

That is a very nice motorcycle you are going to. Test rode one last September and was impressed. Here is a wish for many happy and safe miles.

Good luck with the new bike.

I often miss the speed, but never the fear of being caught, "you think I was going how fast officer" ???

Do wonder how long until I can no longer move the S10 in and out of the garage, for now I consider keeping it good for my fitness and flexibility, but I can see why old men ride around on tiny little British singles and twins.
