Throttle Sticking While Bike Is Not Running.

Noticed today that after I ran my S10 for a bit and rode around my neighborhood for a few passes upon
returning to my garage after the bike was shut off the throttle grip was sticking however when I started
her up again and gave it a few light revs the throttle was fine. After shutting the bike off again the throttle
was sticking. Did not have time to dive into trouble shooting but I assume there needs to be some cleaning,
lubing, adjusting.
The thing that throws me off is that it does not stick while bike is running.
Any ideas?

Did the throttle tube get loose at all? I'm wondering if it shifted slightly and is catching on the handguard.

Thanks for your reply.
I did a quick look-see at that area and everything looked fine. I loosened the bolt that goes through the OEM hand guard and bar-end weight and there were no issues. I removed the bar-end weight and while the bike was not running the throttle grip was still sticking however once I started the bike and blipped the throttle the action was normal with no sticking.

Something weird with the throttle by wire solenoid?

What I usually do with anything that has a sticky throttle is disconnect the cable at the TB so that I can see if it is the TB/carb, cable or twist-throttle (right word?).
Good luck!

Is that when the engine is running, the position of the TB is slightly open. Probably in that last section of the TB's travel (when the engine is stopped)... it is where you have the problem of friction of the accelerator wire and it does not return quickly to its rest position.
The butterflies do return to position 0, because they are commanded by the electric motor (not by the wire)…but that change to position 0 is not reflected in the Wire/Tb hook and the position sensor (where is the wire spring of the accelerator)….surely it is the wire stuck at a certain point near the 0 position
Remember that the wire “does not control the throttles”…the wire controls only the acceleration sensor….the butterflies are controlled by the electric motor, depending on the position of “both” sensors. so there is a small movement of the throttles, from the 0 position to the idle position.
That's probably why the throttle sticks with the engine stopped and doesn't stick with the engine running.
Or the spring, the spring does not help to close the butterflies (these are closed by the electric motor), the spring helps to return to the throttle wire
