throttle body work

I have an issue with my throttle not opening. it will start but butterflies wont open. I checked the the pentiometer on the diagnostics and it shows from 16-100 when I open throttle. Connections all seem good. anyone had this issue?

Can you give us more details?

Are you saying that with the bike all together the bike will start but when you turn the throttle nothing happens?

Or do you have the air box off and starting the bike (bike apart) ?

Do you have a (Yamaha) code on the dash ? What is it ?

Yes bike starts but no throttle response..so took off air box and saw throttle not opening..twist throttle and all works ok but servo not moving the butterflies..still not sure how to read the codes or what each one means ..engine light is on permanently . Seems like servo is not getting signal from the pentiometer?

What is the dash code ?

Ive done this job once before with the 'potentiometer'.......... Ii don't think that is the correct name for it, but I cant remember it currently......... We pulled my friends apart and cleaned it up.... That was a PITA. It did fix his issues for a short time (few weeks).... He ordered a new one off ebay or from China and we plugged it in. It fixed the issue permanently.... You might try that. It was a cheep fix..........

The potentiometers (position sensors) are two. The throttle cable position sensor (left side) is for the ecu to know how much you are accelerating….the position sensor on the right side of the throttle body….is the one that controls the electric motor, which controls the butterflies…and the ecu does, based on what the left position sensor says

It's from a Hemi, but the general manufacturers terminology is more or less this
