I try and find and ride as much off road as possible. There have been several times that I would like to have known (for fun) what gear I was in... When the tire is spinning out a lot, you might not be going as fast as you might be if you where on the normal road. This gear indicator also has some 'cheesy' red line RPM markers. But I was thinking, if I was going crazy off road and had the RPM's up really high I might see the red lights before it goes to the rev limiter. I would prefer to try and keep it off the limiter if possible.. :D
I'm saying all this with the thoughts of standing on the pegs the whole time like I do. Its hard to see the tack standing up. I could probably see these red lights better right before I pop the limiter.... Also the gear indicator screen is bigger than others Ive seen, better to see it quickly if your doing high speed off road, or technical off road....

Ive contacted these guys several times. No response, no Email back, nothing............. This sounds familiar "Italy"..... Does anyone know if this will work on our bikes? Can we make it work? There web site said it will work on any bike.. But as we all know our ST is not like other bikes with ABS / TC / ECM / Etc............ Not sure if anyone knows about this unit or has time to dig around and find some other info, but if you do will you please post.... I might be interested in one of these units.... Thanks.......

Looks straightforward. It appears they provide a magnetic sensor you'd need to mount on/near the wheel to get speed info and they have two ways to pickup the engine speed (tapping into the crankshaft position sensor wire or wrapping a sensor wire around a spark plug cable). I have some experience with these sorts of things and they typically work fairly well but there are occasionally outliers that don't work properly. Everything looks to be "roll your own" as far as installation - its not a plug-and-play solution by any means. It will be completely independent of the S10's systems so no problems there.

With speed and RPM, everything else is just software - you have to have the unit "learn" the relationship between the two in various gears and they have a setup for that where you put the bike in gear on the centerstand and go through the gears.

I don't see any reason it wouldn't work fine.

I have the gipro, and it works pretty good. Little hard to see in sunlight. Does not register to well when bike barely moving, and clutch must be out.

MTS12 and the K12GT were really nice, an aftermarket just does not quite measure up.
