Bricks with wheels don't do well when it comes to wind resistance. :)

Or this cool concept.....

Actually, Chris, I've had my 08 Wrangler for 4 years and have never had mileage lower than 18 MPG (sometimes over 21 on the highway). It's a 4250# brick no doubt, but does pretty well, considering what else it can do. The biggest problem is windshield loss. Our gravel is composed of granite and I lose a windshield about every 2-3 months. 6 of them so far. Safelite loves me, my insurance company doesn't. ;) I also wheel an '81 Scrambler.

I have a problem with windshields too….

…but only when stuff like this happens.

Drainage ditches can be a bitch, eh, Bill? ::025:: ::025::

Sorry! Seen this a few times, not funny, but definitely entertaining.

Used to live in Florida where the average elevation above sea level was about 26 inches, so getting flipped usually involved holes in the ground. C'mon out here and we'll show you how to flip it down the side of a mountain. :D

Will definately be in my driveway. Doubt the US market will see a diesel Jeep. Italian or otherwise.

Clever name, Nukizer.

New Kaiser!

I once had an M715. Awesome truck, but one of the most uncomfortable vehicles I've ever ridden in.

Official word from Jeep is that the Gladiator concept is "too far away from an actual production vehicle" for them to produce. The best you can get know is a conversion package for the Unlimited models that covers up the rear doors, adds a false floor and a half cab with bulkhead. I'd love for Jeep to produce a real pickup, I still see Commanches around here occasionally, along with the earlier J10s.

Here ya' go! Dealers are installing these and asking 20K over list to do it. Nice kit and solid, but not 20K. You can buy the complete kit for $5495 from Mopar and do it yourself and leave the kids at home with Gramma and Grampa.

The word in Detroit is something based on a dodge truck platform that looks like a Jeep. I'll just keep my Scrambler, thank you very much.
