The S10 doesn't accommodate baby seats very well

How tight do I need to tighten my straps? Are the straps also DOT-rated for motorcycle use as a baby seat belt?

P.S. I'm not an idiot. No baby is getting a ride on the bikey-poo.

What?! They don't get to ride?! I thought that was what the luggage rack was for....Just wait 'till the youngster(s) grows up and get their own ride. That will cause some gray hair, trust me. :D

Just install Iso-fix brackets and you're good to go.
First newborn?
Yup, going to be the first kid. The S10 and WR250R are my only forms of transportation so I'm currently in search of a truck. Best middle ground to carry all my babies ;)

This is incredibly unsafe and an endangerment to the child. Everyone knows the car seat has to be rear facing for infants.

Wonder how long it would take before you got pulled over, just riding around with that empty seat on there...

Wow, that picture got my attention, until I read your P.S. I have seen a women cutting grass on a riding lawnmower with a child's car seat attached to the side and there was a child in it. Oh, congratulations.

Congrats, now go shave your head, 'cos you'll either lose all you hair or tear it out! Only joking, but it really is hard being good focused parents..........really hard!

Congratulations! I'm expecting my first born in July. I heard small hands make it easier to clean the bike and get lost screws from small spaces.

My babies are 32 and 28. It was a different time, but living in the sticks with day care a few blocks away I used to sit them on the gas tank to get them to day care. When they could reach the pegs, they took a helmet to school so I could pick them up. Like I said, different time.

Oh yea, they now are both active riders. R1 and 1098.

Congrats and enjoy!
