What is good about the comparison is that both share almost the same Nm….both share almost the same weight/power ratio…(2.53kg x HP AUDI), (2.26 kg x HP KTM)…..and all that It equals them in movement from 0...once the mass is in motion, the 120 HP more of the Audi makes the difference….

I read the other day they are going to do a ADV dirt track series much like the king of the baggers did for road racing. that really could be interesting! Probably won't see anything but KTM's and Ducati's and those will have to be detuned to hook up on dirt unless they use the mid class bikes to race. Still it has my interest.

No more walking speed up creek beds.
Funny thing is I can crawl around easier on my FJR and my old FJ better than I can with the Super T. The only issues I have had with them is ground clearance and hitting pipes and fairings. The Super T I can get a little more speed and kind of bang over things much better. Still finding traction at slow speed it is easier for me with the four cylinder bikes. You just have to be really careful with the whiskey throttle as they say! haha. I saw a feller years ago riding a R1 around the world and had no issues going as easy or easier than people on BMW gs and the KTMs. The newest R1 I rode was very docile below 6000 rpm and I don't feel I would have any issues riding it in slick slow conditions. Now above 6000 it gets crazy quick! To say the least it is not linear in the power at that point! I think that MT-10 is supposed to be more mid range power than an R1. I have not rode it but I bet it would be a hand full at throttle too.

I was thinking how ridiculous I would look like riding one. And it definitely does not look comfortable.

Yup the world is falling apart right in front of our eyes like never before...

"I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words... When I was young, we were taught to be discreet and respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly wise [disrespectful] and impatient of restraint".

The only ones to prosper by driving wedges between us are extremist politicians (both extremes) and news organizations. Let's just get along regardless.
