I'm departing from Adv riding for awhile. I had a fall a month ago and injured my rotator cuff, so no off road this season. That was the whole point of buying my S10! So, I'm trading it in on a Goldwing F6B.

I've enjoyed these boards tremendously. Very fun group of people here ::020::

I've already booked a cowboy cabin for the 1st Southern Utah rally, so my wife and I will be flying to Vegas and driving over. I'll look for a bunch of Tens at Zion Ponderosa and come say hi.

I stripped my bike since dealer won't give me anything for those, so be looking in the classifieds.

Safe travels!

Sorry about your shoulder injury. Take care. Shoulders heal very slow.
I hope to make an appearance at the Utah gathering on my way to California to see the big trees.

Thanks for all the kind replies! I have started placing my farkles for sale on the little pimpin' board. I collected 17 farkles. Ouch!

See the attached pic of the new ride.

Really sorry to hear of your injury. The new ride does look mighty comfy for exploring those Western roads!

fwiw - I tore mine nearly 5 years ago and couldn't raise my arm above roughly chest level. Getting off T-shirts was nearly impossible and the doc told me that I ought to have surgery. I asked about trying PT first after Googling a lot and he sent me to a PT, adding that I'd probably be back. The Physical Terrorist said that most people aren't religious enough about staying with the PT and do need to eventually have the surgery.

I stayed with the work-outs and after most of a year had the range of motion and strength back. It was really painful for the first half year and easy to see why people quit but I've stayed with the PT just to keep the shoulder working. The only thing in the end that I gave up was shooting high powered rifles and shotgun sports, since several rounds will have my shoulder telling me to stop in no uncertain terms. (Even with top-notch recoil pads and shoulder pads. The 223 and 22LR are fine.)

Unfortunately, I have heard the same thing about shoulder injuries. I have been doing yoga, which some of it is a little bit painful, but hopefully that will rebuild strength over the next year. I am doing what I can to avoid surgery.

Yes the F6B is mighty comfy!
