Yes. We have had close to ten inches of rain in the last couple of days. A little more tomorrow then clearing up and great.
Note the temps in low 40's next week

Thought you said a tenth of an inch, re-read, then saw you said TEN inches of rain. ??? Luckily the creek crossings should be calmed back down by next week....right? ::025:: If not, might have to bring a life jacket and yamaha outboard.

Yup, we had a couple of days of toad strangler rains here. Things drain off pretty rapidly and creeks/rivers go up and down quickly. If temps are good and things are dry I'm cruising up to the Hub tomorrow for a look around.

Couple updates before registration closes in less than 12 hours. ::018::

1) Our featured/sponsoring dealer, Yamaha of Harrison, will be coming out at the Meet and Greet to welcome everyone and help answer any questions about what they can do to help make your week unforgettable (route ideas, service questions, business cards to contact them should problems arise, etc...). During that time, they'll be demoing their own Yamaha power washer they've graciously offered to let us use throughout the week to keep the bikes "recognizable" :D Along with many other things yet to be revealed, Eli and the gang have been an awesome group of folks to work with.

2) Debbie and Randal from The Hub will be opening Scooters for breakfast and dinner each day of the rally. Normally Scooters is closed M-W, but have willingly offered to open for our group. Hopefully that makes the whole week easier with regards to food planning. Their food is AMAZING (first hand experience) and is a nice amenity to not have to hop back on the bike or cook something on a JetBoil after you've been flogging these beasts around for 8+ hours ::26:: Make sure and thank them and their staff for their time and effort while you're there.

3) It might not be a bad idea to start uploading any GPS tracks/routes on your devices. For me, it never fails that I spend three hours attempting to upload what I've wanted to ride, and end up calling Garmin who was able to walk me through it in 10 minutes. Don't wait until the last minute as most GPS Helpdesk Centers will be closed over the weekend if you need one-on-one help.

There's a bazillion pages now on this thread, so if you have anything you've not been able to find specifically on the forum or at yamahasupertenererally.com with regards to the trip, now's the time to ask!

This whole endeavor started back in January for both Jaxon and I, and has progressively intensified in both time and organization efforts as things have progressed. Everyone of you have been great to interact with, specifically keeping the rally discussions active. So on behalf of Jaxon and I, thank you. Hopefully this annual event can be something that can take off year after year down the road and give every Tenere owner something to set their sights on each riding season. We certainly wouldn't be able to put something like this together without your help, as well as all of our supporting vendors that make Thursday the pinnacle of the event. We hope that everyone is going to be walking out of the convention center with a big smile, regardless of whether they win something big or not. Thanks again to all of you who've signed up, and can't want to say hi.

A big thank you to Karson and Jaxon for organizing this event, I can't even imagine how much time and work it takes to make an event like this possible but I am sure glad we have folks on this forum who are willing to put forth the effort so that we may all have a great time. See ya'll there.

Thanks for all your hard work. I live here in Arkansas, and can't imagine getting all this done and living out of state. I will be rolling out of central Arkansas Monday morning. EXCITED !!

Is the rally over after Thursday night, or is still going on Friday? I have my room reserved through Fiday
night but I don't want to be the only guy still there?

There might still be people riding Friday, but I personally will sleep in a little, say goodbyes, and be out on the road my 8:30 or 9.

It's basically a designated rally day so that folks from farther away can R&R one more day if they choose, or ride a little bit more, before making the trek back home.

Hope that helps, I'm sure others will chime in with their plans ::008::

Due to work constraints, I'm not showing up until either Wed night or Thursday morning. (We'll see if I can power through in one day.) I hope there will be people still wanting to ride Friday. If not, I'm sure I can find some good twisties and keep myself entertained.

Great! Not sure what my plans will be. Leave Friday and take 2 days home, camping along the way? Or leave Sat morning and blast all the way home (~9 hours)?

Tomorrow I leave for the Big Tex Rally (http://www.bigtexrally.com/BigTexRally_2014/BTR-HOME.html) and may get my fill of blasting big mile days for a while. According to my routing, I will munch some 1,800 miles in 36 hours. I might be more in the mood to take it easy on the way home. We'll see.

Campers -- I don't how many of us are (were?) planning to camp, but I just talked with Debbie at The Hub & learned that there's no shower/restroom facility on the campground itself; they reserve a "couple of rooms" for showers & restrooms for campers! (Guess that's why we heard there could be a line!) She said if there are a lot of campers they can also make the restaurant restroom available from the outside during the hours it's not normally open. Just a heads up ... :-\
