Well after a wonderful 10 yeart with the XT, I have exchenged the bike for something newer, smaller and slightly esoteric.
The Yamaha has been a great bike and for many years was my only mode of transport and as such did that remarkably well. Now, I mainly need a bike for fun and the occaisonal commute to work during the warm weather. Also, 10 years of winter riding have been a little hard on the cosmetics so now seemed like a good time to do a deal for a new bike.

Thank you all for your help and advice and hopefully, some of my advice has been useful to some of you.

When new and shiny.

I should be picking up the new bike in a week or so and will pop up a picture when I get it. Safe riding all and take care.

PS My Akrapovic silencer is still for sale. Feel free to make an offer on it as I need to get a sporty exhaust for the new wheels. :)

A good run for any motorcycle. I look forward to seeing what your next ride is. :)

I did exactly the same a few months ago, I bought a Tracer 9 GT+ and I am very happy with it. Looking forward to finding out what bike you have chosen to replace your SuperTen with!

All the best with the new ride - a brief report would be interesting before you leave us.

I have been thinking/dithering along similar lines & looked at the Tracer9 GT+, the MG Mandello S & Stelvio, the Z900RS SE retro &, more recently the Honda NC750X DCT. It was fun browsing, but I think I shall stick for now.
