[Desert Skies]

Howdy folks! Name is Tom and I live near Galveston. I'm 64 and been riding bikes since the late 60s. Started out enduro in southern Ohio and migrated to street in the 80s with a good mix of dirt.

This summer I picked up a low miles 2013 ST. Currently also have a 2002 GL1800, 2005 R1200GS and a 2006 DR650. The GS is my primary bike and has been bashed around a bit and now has 109K miles on her so the ST is to replace it as my ADV tourer.

The ST was farkled by the PO but still needed some tweeking to suit me so I've been addressing that to get it ready for some trips this fall (too frik'n hot here to ride right now) so once I get some miles on it, I'm sure I"ll have some questions. I do my own wrenching and am able to fabricate things for the bikes if need be. Already have a couple tech issues with the bike and will start threads to see if I can tap the knowledge base of the forum later.
