I would like to have the rear brake freed of ABS. Just the foot peddle, keep the integrated front/back full on ABS. So as you could skid it around in a tight corner or 180 it on a trail to narrow to U turn it!

In this order of prioirty

1. 500 lbs wet... will settle for 525
2. 2" lower stepover height
3. 2" increase in ground clearance
4. 8 gallon fuel tank (option)
5. on the fly traction control
6. better stock suspension
7. better built rear wheel
8. 18" R 21" F, model option

You did say "Wish" :)

A stock screen that is adjustable to cover a multitude of rider heights and actually works. Not too much to ask surely ?

Cast wheels for those that will never really take it off road, can't be dealing with loose spokes and constant checking if they may be loose......... oh, and so much easier to clean.

I've only been riding mine for just a few weeks.
What really surprised me and a feature that I do NOT like is the gear indicator.
When the clutch is in I get a straight bar that I guess lets me know that my clutch is not engaged. I mean DUH, what were they thinking? ???
It sure would be nice if I knew what gear I was in like all other previous bikes that I'v owned have done!
Totally agree. The dumbest gear indicator ever!!!

If it have 2 inches more ground clearance and 2 inches less seat height, your knees would be against your chin. The seat to peg distance is one of the things I like best about the S10. More leg room than any other Adventure bike. Shift on the Fly Traction Control would be my favourite improvement.
Shift on the Fly Tractions Control, the best option.

I have a 2013..love the bike overall...will be doing clutch basket when bike gets another 10000 miles on it and maybe a manual CCT...not sure yet.

I am in the "TC on the fly" camp

Could add a slightly lower 1st and taller 6th gear.
Clip for the rear hub to keep things together when removing rear wheel would be nice also. (retro-fit option??)
Seat height is great for me at 6' and distance to pegs is great...would not want to change this.

Stock bike provides an excellent platform to build the bike you need...too much fancy factory goodies erodes this fact quickly IMO.

front end could look more modern, LED running lights would make it look as good as other competitors, there are LEDs everywhere else after all

TC on the fly - mine seems to do that as long as throttle is shut, bike moving

ABS off on rear brake - was told if you use rear brake only then ABS wont come in (mines a late 2014) - but maybe a rumour, need to try it

nearly at 1000 miles and loving it!! ::012::

TCS won't change on the fly, you are probably thinking of changing engine modes, T and S, which will change on the fly when you select one and then close the throttle.

Tapping the rear brake first will not shut off the ABS, only unlink the linked braking.

what action is needed to get em to hold hands again?

rear brake first "unlinks" or bypasses the system and the next front brake action provide normal operation?

I believe any time you use the "front brake lever" and the rear brake pedal is NOT in use, the brakes are linked.
The only time the front brake lever does not apply rear brakes, is if the rear brakes were applied already.

If true, the "relinking", that I think you are asking about, is immediately after neither brake is in use. Probably milliseconds?

ok thanks, that's what i thought, basically rear brake first "bypasses" the linked system for that instant.

I know my 08 Rt has linked brakes but knew nothing about them. I know after applying the front, if you apply the rear or just rest your foot on it, the pedal feels crazy, kinda reverberating.

Not used to all these gizmos and buttons, and my bikes are somewhat like having wooden brakes. A slight improvement over draggin yer feet.

Mines a 2013 and I am going to say TC on the fly adjustment or, at least default to last setting.

There are others but I can change some of them of them to suit me anyway. All-in-all, I feel like Yamaha designed this bike just for me. It fits, and I like it!
