Mine seems to run arrow straight with my hands off the bars unlike my Honda ST1300 which immediately goes right since new (and has been reported by many on the forums). This was actually a refreshing change to me that the Yamaha went dead ahead instead.

Coming off the same ST1300 as Jeff, my experience is the same. My ST1300 pulled right no matter how I balanced or torqued the front axle or whether or not the tires were new or worn. On my maiden voyage home from Austin a couple weekends ago on my new to me 14ES with worn tires..... arrow straight. In fact....I tested it for miles with the CC and was amazed. =)

could be that the throttle is on the right side, therefore the right side is accelarating faster than the left side. ::021::

I have noticed this also, but not on all roads. I assumed it was a cmbination of the cant of the road and wind. Never thought to attribute it to the shaft drive that sounds plausable too. I think I tend to pay more attention to the minutia with this bike since I have never dropped this much $ on a bike before!

I am constantly telling myself to ::021::
