I finally got to see one of these beauties in the flesh ??? Rode down to Birmingham ,Al, 200 miles away to go see one they had on display. While it was a display only, didnt get to ride it or hear it run, I was able to climb all over it and ogle it from every angle. I must say it was way more impressive in person than all that I have read and seen in picutres thus far. At 6' 1" with 32" inseam the bike fit me very well with the seat in the high position. Had plenty of leg room with a quite comfortable bend at the Knee. Reach to the handlebars was good without putting too much weight on the wrists. Fit and finish was top notch with what appeared to be very durable construction all around. This particular model had the Yamaha panniers, Crash bar, and skidplate. I am not completely sold on the panniers, though they looked and operated fine to me, the cost of them will probably have me looking for an alternative solution. I did however very much like the Yamaha Crashbars which seemed much sturdier in person than they look in pictures. They seem to allow removal of side covers with out interference, and offer positions for mounting some farkles such as lighting and possibly highway pegs. Without being able to actually ride the bike, sitting still the weight seemed very manageable and really was never an issue for me anyway, seeing as the bike i ride now weighs over 700lbs, this bike will feel like a feather wieght. I have been following this bike since I first saw it on the internet back in February 2010, and was elated when it was announced that it would be coming stateside. I put my deposit down back in October 2010, and after seeing this one today, I have no regrets whatsoever in my decision. It has been a long wait, and I hope to have mine end of spring, but really there is NO other bike out there in this class that I personally, would rather have. For any that havent seen one, If there happens to be one on display somehwere near you, I would highly reccommend going to see it. I will be one very pleased Tenere' Owner when it finally does arrive in all its Raven Beauty ;D For any that may be discouraged by possible delayed shipping dates I can only say that anything worth having is worth waiting for. This one is definitely worth it to me. :) ;D 8) ^-^
