Techspec - What Texture is best?

I did allot of searching but didn't find a definitive answer.

Now that Techspec has been available (and used by members) for a few years, what texture would be recommended to purchase for my Tenere? Snake Skin or the C3? I believe the C3 is the thinner of the two, and may be less prone to peeling in the contoured areas of the tank?

Any help appreciated!

I have had snake skin on my track bike for 3 years now. They work extremely well and haven't peeled or shown any other signs of wear.

Snakeskin it is I guess! I had it on a CBR 600RR i had once and really liked it. I didn't know if maybe the C3 would be better suited for the Tenere? How much thicker is the snake skin versus the C3?

Go with the snakeskin and you'll have very durable protection for the tanks. For fitting at the contours, make sure to follow the installation instructions regarding temperature and they go on easy.

Good luck!

I've had snakeskin on my road racer for a few years. Works great. No slippage. Got the ST and was in great pain after about an hour of riding. I was sliding forward on each deceleration. Snakeskin was the obvious solution. Put it on my panniers too. But I'm not sure that little center piece on the downslope of tank is any good.
