I found an oil slick on a onramp once, it was interesting to say the least. This is another reminder of why you should keep it dialed in when on public roads, the unkowns.
I don't think anyone could pour oil out their window for two miles.
I came through the Dragon yesterday and I didn't see any oil, but there were a lot of road construction signs up along the road that said "road construction April 17-21".
If construction, then I would think more likely that it's a case of over filling diesel on construction vehicles, very common on trucks in EU, until they made it a road offence.
At the same time near here, we did have a repeated case of oil intentionally being poured on a highway offramp to sabotage where the State troopers had to loop around to get to the barracks. It's a really tight 55 mph to 25 mph ramp with a guard rail and resulted in a number of accidents. Turns out the guy'd had a series of tickets and drunk driving bust so felt he was getting back at the State police.
::026:: Even a small hydraulic leak will cause big problems. Seen it happen. Trash/dumpster trucks are the most frequent offenders, and often they don't realize they have the leak.
Two miles? That's a leaking tanker truck, or something similar. How many gallons of oil would someone have to be carrying in their vehicle to be maliciously pouring out a two mile trail of oil?
