back in my GS rider days, I had taken off he pillion seat and in its place, fitted a Cortech expandable tail bag that stayed with the bike at all times.
It does not quite fit my S10 and was wondering if you guys use a specific model that fits, on top of the seat/rack, or in its place.
I am not a big fan of tank bags.
Thank you very much.

I have a Gen1 KLR tailbag that I have had on 2 KLR's and now 2 S10's. It is on the bike all the time and is expandable, fits well between the passenger handholds. I have my passenger seat removed and lowered the rack. Still available new on ebay for about $130.

Might be a little too KLR-ish for this crowd, but went with a Pelican case. Water tight and lockable. Lined the interior with foam so nothing gets beat up going down the road.

Hi Peeps. I have a question.

Would the wolfman peak tail bag fit when I use my giant loop great basin bag? I have a small tank bag but would like to add a tail bag for my longer trips.
Thanks for the help and remember..

Hi WenWa, Nice pack! What are the dimensions?

TIA

8 inches shortest side
8 inches front to back

10 inches deep expanded

Pictures below:

PS-I really like this bag. Stays on bike all the time.

I have this small toolbox as a tail bag. Thinking of buying Kriega pack to be placed on the rear seat.

+1 for tail mounted Pelican case.

I add a medium Motofizz when I don't need the weight/size of Jesse's.

Have a Pelican 1400 I am thinking of mounting for a long trip. If I use the hard cases I won't use the Pelican 1400.

I am very KLRish when it comes to tailbags. Have a bunch of low cost tailbags and use all of them at different times. The tailbag I bought for the Tenere was the Twisted Throttle Bags-Connection Slipstream. It is not everything I would like. The new version http://www.twistedthrottle.com/bags-connection-slipstream-tail-bag is better but they are very expensive.
