SW Regular Meets and Rideouts..

I notice there are a few of us around the South West..

I already ride with an S10 from just over the Severn Bridge most Saturdays, so anyone interested in regular rideouts around the South West..?

I run the Tiger rideouts down here (Still have an 800 and a Scrambler) we may have the odd Exploder or KTM with us , but they have a good standard or riding and enjoy making progress their also not afraid if the odd goat track or unclassified road..

I'm happy to organise a regular Saturday meet or something a bit further away with some nice accommodation... I've just got back from a 400 mile weekend in Wales and just organised a group run to the Dolomites in June..

Would be nice to meet up as i'm getting sick of three cylinder engines... )

Excellent stuff...

We have a ride organised around the Mendips on the 12 November... We've all progressed from Tigers to S10's or KTM's... Due to lack of daylight we'll part company on the way down the M5 around 3ish..

Normally meet around 9am at J27 Tiverton and then Riders Bridgwater if heading North, but can meet you en route..

We try and ride on Saturdays or the odd Sunday and have covered most of the SW over the years.. So spreading into Dorset and Wiltshire...

Would be great to meet up..

I also ride in the week as i'm semi retired.. So if you ever fancy a run somewhere let me know..

Turn up with full tanks and empty bladders... No doubt the KTM will break down and the Trumpet will run out of fuel.... ) (Oooo i'm cruel).... 8)

Hi Greg, i couldnt make the Wales one which is a shame as i do like it there. I have been round the Brecon Beacons twice in the last couple of months.
Am in Scotland doing Skye and some of the North West coast again in May and hope to drop in to the Yorkshire one on the way back if i can.
Enjoy the ride tomorrow. On another note have been speaking with Roger of Ardcases fame and he has a Tenere now aswell.

Good to see the regular SW Crew attend .... I've been riding with them a good few years now and their a good bunch with a good standard of riding.. Apart from the shenanigans from an Austrian Porn Star.... )

Conditions were a bit slimy and muddy in places but nothing a hot soapy wash won't fix....

There's another run next Saturday and i'll post up details on another thread... Probably Cornwall way as I fancy a run down an abandoned airfield.... So probably an earlier start...

Hi Richard, i think it was fate you coming to the Scotland meet on a 2nd Gen blue Tenere as it was exactly what i had been looking at. It was great to speak with people who had them in yourself and Greg. Also being familiar with the bike i had ( Triumph Tiger 800 road ) was helpful too. The weight was my only concern but its so well balanced and effortless to ride, i dont ride off road on it so cant say what its like there. Mind you i went to visit the observatory in Knighton ( Wales ) a couple of months ago and the " road " that leads up to it was made up of just small and bigger rocks. Hmm i though shall i risk it on my new bike ( i was 2 up aswell ) i need not have worried it went up there with no drama whatsoever. You cant beat having confidence in your bike and the Tenere really gives you some. So thanks again to you both for steering me in the right direction as it was the best decision i could have made.

Thanks Greg for the welcome and the rideout yesterday. It was good to meet you and the other lads also. Ride was quite spirited and flowing which I prefer and riding the Cheddar Gorge was a first on a bike for me surprisingly!
Can't make next Saturday but look forward to a rideout with your group in December. Great bunch of lads and very friendly. Stay in touch.
