Suspension Warning Light

2015 ES model. Has anyone had the suspension warning light come on. I was adjusting rear suspension and the light popped on and the menu disappeared. Restarting did nothing but if I let it sit for 10 mins the light is off when I start it and the menu is back. When I try to adjust it the "working circle" appears and then it kicks off and the light is back on. Any ideas.

Thanks

Are you sitting on the bike when adjusting the rear pre-load, or have the bike loaded with luggage? I don't have the manual at hand, but I think you need to make the pre-load adjustments motor running and unloaded.

If you were cycling to much/to fast it will shut off to prevent over heating of the servos. Did it when I first got it. Thought I had broke it.

I played with it more after work. It works one rider and two riders but when I go to two riders with luggage, it quits. I have to shut the bike off for 10 minutes and when I turn the key back on the warning light is out. Also, the bike is on the side stand without a rider.

Hi Camden, I'd put the bike on its centre stand to lower the weight on the springs , set the bike in two up, leave it for a minute then move to two worth bags.

Cheers.

OK, the dealer found the problem. The bottom line is the suspension was "confused". It had a diagnostic code #84 page 9-14 of the 2014 service manual (same as the '15). Preload HOME positions. They said it took about 20 seconds to reset the system.

Thanks

Interesting... as I was reading this thread I was wondering as I didn't know there was a Suspension Warning light? Thanks for following up and letting us know what the cause/fix was. ::026::
