This is Lewis with Electrical Connection. We design and fabricate some of the products for Twisted. On the wish list is an ABS disable. I have the design all done and need an owner to bring a bike for install and photos.

Here is how the kit will work:
1. turn the high beams on for .8 to 1.8 seconds and then turn off. This will disable it.
2. To turn it back on, repeat the above process.
3. When you turn the key off and back on, the ABS will turn back on automatically by default.

You can contact me at lewis at electricalconnection.com or call 865.219.9192. We will need your bike for about 2 hours. Whoever schedules first will get their kit for free.

Thanks!

That was Erik that owns TT. He and I talked about this over Mexican food Sunday night. The key thing is that we make it automatically turn back on once the ignition key is cycled.

I forget dude's name, he just got back from Chile (I think). I showed him my bike and all I had done. He was wondering about that and the TCS. Justin maybe? I thought the bike was rental from Lt Dan.

Other than him I was the only ST there.

If that works well, how much will be the "kit"?

Not quite sure yet. We need to determine exactly how much wire, connectors, loom etc will be used. Once I have that, we can then determine how long the product takes in assembly. This will be built in our facility here in Tennessee.

That's a neat idea, and I'm sure you will sell kits to the electrically retarded, but a $5 DIY switch has been well documented here.... although, granted, the DIY kit does not automatically reset.

I have done business with E.C. in my Goldwing days. . . Good company with quality products. And Lewis is as down to earth as they come. ::008::

I have read how others have done it....and there is always a DIY aspect to any farkle. The auto-reset is one of the major features....the other is not having to add another switch. That and the device will be all plug and play.

Sounds like a great idea for those of us that are less DIYers. Look forward to this being released.

IL, the land of straight, flat, boring roads
So if I happen to flick the high beams on and off at oncoming traffic that forgot to dim theirs for instance, my ABS is disabled?

I suspect it doesn't work unless you're at a stop, but good question! If it does work on the fly, this is an issue.

Happy to hear someone is tackling this. It's been a need for a long time

If you simply flick on and off, no. If you leave them on for between 1 second to 2 seconds and then off, yes.

I'd suggest you extend the timing a bit, e.g., 2-3 seconds.

We actually already have the switching circuit...it's a piece we use on driving lights. Works really well.

I hope it works better than the Denali D2D lights. Because the electronics are terrible , replaced one light and went through 3 control units.
