Super Tens at the Gap

Anybody want to make a weekend of "Super Tens at the Gap" before winter really gets here? arrive sat sometime chill out sat nite, ride around sun then head home sometime later on or early the next day?

I will be in the area Oct. 23-26,wife rented a large cabin with a couple of here sisters and brothers in law.They are doing the leaf watching thing,i`m bring my Tenere ,doing the riding thing-hoping for good weather.I am trying to get on of my riding buddies to come along ,he isn`t sure - maybe.The cabin is in the Pigeon Forge area. ::001::

Oh, I thought last weekend was Breaks weekend? 4 Super Tenere at the COG ride based out of the park there. I had a couple of days with the guys and girls there, then meandered home via KY and OH. 1600 miles in 4 days, bike was perfect, rider was an idiot though... http://supertenere1200.com/2011/10/09/and-down-she-went/

Yikes!! get ready for a traffic jamb or two lane parking lots. I steer very clear of that side of the park if I can. I made the mistake of going through gatlinburg last saturday after exploring the north rim of the park. Traffic sucked and it took me 45 minutes to go 1 mile. : I would have been better to go to knoxville then down and around, live and learn.

I know traffic can get bad there but for the most part I stay out of it.Take Wears Valley road to Towesend,321 to foothills parkway to129 and Deals Gap.I`m in west Tennessee but go to the east several times a year,been a regular trip for at least 30 years.My first time on the dragon got my attention and respect,buddy and i helped pull another rider up a hill after he failed to make a corner-went straight off at high speed into trees a straight drop about 50 feet.Anyway I stay out off the heavy traffic,my wife like to shop so she is in the middle of it.

I was there and at the Cherohala Skyway and Shady Valley Tn.
Friday I saw a group in Tazewell Va that had a F800GS a black Tenere and a blue one.
