I thought it might be interesting to note where S10s are being featured in the media.

I first noted that AMA magazine has had several ads that prominently feature the S10 over the past year, right now in fact the April AMA has 4 ads running featuring the S10.
AMA April 2014:
pg 11 full pg ad from WVTourism
pg 18 column ad from ColorRite Motorcycle paint
pg 27 quarter page ad from RoxSpeedFX (Rox Risers)
pg 43 full page ad from AmericanMotorcyclist.com (AMA)

As often we wonder if Yamaha is putting enuf marketing around the bike or why the various mc mags seems to downplay it features and functions, capabilities and benefits... it’s somewhat encouraging in a sense that others are getting a view of this versatile machine from various sources.

Have you noted any other times where the S10 is currently being featured in the media??
In addition to the various vids we've seen on YouTube, it might be interesting to keep some kind of track.

Part of the problem at the first two years or so with these ads is that many people have contracts already in place regards the ads.

Previously to the S10 there was usually BMW, Strom or BMW or maybe KTM or BMW so the chances of having an "accidental" photo of an S10 was pretty small. Now it's getting more common as the new ads are placed as more people have access to the S10 and more are around then the call for an "adv bike for a photo" will now more likely feature an S10.

The rental side of things will also get the bike more exposure as some lifestyle "motorcycle clueless" producer asks for a Adv bike for a piece. Heck they may even ask for a BMW and get an S10 and not know the difference.

That's on top of the paid stuff. And I suspect the prices in the US don't allow for much padding where BMW prices do.
