Dude -I need to hang out with you for a while and see just what you would use a laptop for at the rally, I don't even have a clue what to do with tracks.
Unless brand new, you don't even have a smart phone!

Why is it you don't want to add the gpx tracks to a post on here?I recognize that spot, it is on my tracks.........
On the topic of tracks, I am working up some now. Not sure how I will share them or get them out. I do have a dropbox acct, dont use Google share since we have Huddle at work. MIght ask 'ol Uncle Bob (you need a new airplane) to start a Track thread, or we can keep it here.
Any suggestions on how to get them out? I dont post them openly, yea. I guess you can call me that name, but if you are going you will get them. If not, you can hear about them after we ride them.
Steve, post or email me your tracks. Some of your posts look familiar but I'd like to make sure we get the riders on those photo spots. They are that good.
You are only lost when you need to be some where at a certain time. Otherwise, you are wandering.I usually don't ride with anyone with a GPS , we just don't care if we get lost.
I don't have a problem if individuals want to do that. Can we post the tracks in the navigation section of ADVRider?

There are at least 4 or 5 sets of Arkansas tracks on the first 2 pages
Steve,Thanks for posting this.
I have a Delorme Arkansas Topo Atlas and it just didn't match up to your description at all, so I Google earthed it and could follow your instructions and trace the roads the way you said.
Not sure I could have found it just using the Atlas.

Interesting that this forum does not allow attaching of .GPX files like advrider.com does.I tried to post a gpx file. It does not let you. So I snapped pics from my Arkansas Route Guide book, so anyone could make the route. Does a better job of selling it but they have to route it. Or get the gpx emailed or downloaded from my laptop at the rally. The 595 has the ability to share routes via Bluetooth. Have not tried that yet.

If you show me one or more of the pictures , I'll tell you where it was taken. Is that what you want?
Just tried it and it worked. To get files to Patrick, add a .txt after the .gpx and then click on Attach Files.Interesting that this forum does not allow attaching of .GPX files like advrider.com does.
I could change the file extension from .gpx to .txt and attach the file then when I look at the post I could right click on the attachment name and do a "save link as" and change the extension back to .gpx and it appears to work ok.

To unpack after downloading, simply delete the .txt
An example using a Romney GPX is below.
Steve,
Go to Google Maps and search for Car Wash Falls, AR and it will come up Car Wash Falls, County Road 5881, Hagarville, AR.

I too would like to hook up with folks that have an idea where they are going.for us clueless about tracks we can just follow those who know.
When you hear banjo’s,...... ride faster, or turn around ! LOLI too would like to hook up with folks that have an idea where they are going.
I don't mind getting lost but it would br more fun to get lost with someone along
You're out of date on this one. Now we run from pot fields and meth labs which are easy to spot. Those have a really run down old farm with some 55 gallon drums, expensive brand new pickups, and Teslas. And people with black military-looking weapons. When you hear banjo’s,...... ride faster, or turn around ! LOL
Agreed but we have this right now today.I would be nice is we could make it so we can just attach straight up gpx file. Just saying.
Looks SO good. Can this photo be added to the first post ?Stickers and shirts created by Gunner for the rally!!! Prices and details on how to buy will be released when we get firm pricing on the Saturday dinner costs.
