simmons1 Yes they are fantastic ! the first 07 that I had on to Alaska has 9,300 miles on it so I put on the new Dakar 07 rear for this trip. I will probably put that first 07 on the Wee when it needs a tire because it still has a lot of life left in it.
They are so QUIET and great traction, I went through a lot of K60s and these things just smoke them in performance.
Thanks Steve! I mounted an E-07 front last night after work, the rear will go on some other night this week. I am planning on riding some of the Eastern portion of the Oklahoma Adventure Trail on my way to National Rally in a couple weeks. Sorry to hear you won't be making it.

The photos in this thread are outstanding. Thanks for posting them for us to see.

Thank you.
I can say that the front 07 tire is not as inspiring off road as the rear. It my not be as good as the K60 off road. But is a perfect match to the rear 07 on twisty black tops and I would hate to give up the all around on road off road quality that these tires have as a matched set. I would prefer a real knobby front when off road but , oh well.

Hi Steve

Just got done installing my rear E07. It's the new style one that has a mini center strip like the K60. The side wall is marked max pressure 40 psi. Now wondering what pressure to run in it. The front I put on is marked 36 psi.

I just run that, 36, and 40.
On road or off road, don't take time to air down. Too much hassle.

I realize I'm very late to the party, but I seem to miss a lot of threads on the first go-round. Thank, Steve for giving me the link.

What a fantastic ride report. I hope to be following in many of your tire tracks in a couple of months. Appreciate the tip on Buffalo Pass. I've added it to my (gasp) gps file. Sorry, gotta do it.

Looks like a fantastic ride. Getting excited now. Thanks again.

I'm late seeing this thread too. Awesome pics! I'd love to do a ride like that, epic scenery, long distances covered, and camping. Looks like you guys had fun.

Thanks guys for the nice comments.
DD I was just kidding about the throwing away the GPS, I know they have a lot of advantages.

Awesome ride report Steve! Must've missed it during my hiatus for awhile there ::008:: One thing I've learned from riding with Bever, Funk, and Wayne is that us Iowa boys have a hankering for taking the "adventure" part of adventure bikes pretty seriously. ::001::

Great write up, that ride looks like it was a blast! The run out of Red Rock is really cool.

That's why I don't come up there and ride with you guys, I'd get my butt kicked and look bad. ::025::

That would be a great ride to go through with about 5 Tenere guys. That one time the two of us had to carry the Tenere a ways,, My back still hurts from that. :'(

South Africa/Namibia have nice places to ride, but this is awsome. ::022::

I would love to do a trip in that part of the world, but my bank manager wouldnt allow that. :'(

I can also vote for the E07's, they are great and have much more traction than the K60 Heidenau, just a pitty we dont get the E07 Dakar here in SA.

Thanks for sharing. ::003::

Iowa has quietly stacked its deck with authentic Tenere folks. I've been lucky to meet and ride with a few.

Bring dirt tires. Fair warning. ::)

I agree with two things. There are quite a few Ténéré folks in Iowa. Now how many are AUTHENTIC I am not sure. I am not in that category. Steve and another friend of mine, who is not on this forum, are two. Hope to make that cut in a year or two.

Hey Steve, long time no see. Awesome ride as always. Glad to see you found your way to Moki Dugway and Mulie Point. Spectacular pics from Mulie Point.

And now darn ya I am going to have to go find Buffalo Pass.

Thanks Bigbore
I think it was you that I first heard of Moki Dugway from.
It is all really nice out that way.
